I know that we all wish that summer would hurry up and get here. However, isn’t it amazing the beauty that the world holds in all seasons.

World of Wonder Wednesday-Water drops

These were inspired by the incredible Jennifer Bertoch, who was inspired by Michelle Wells. And all I can say is THIS WAS REALLY HARD! arg! it took me over an hour and over 100 shots (thank goodness for digital cameras!) to get this cutie, yet I am still unhappy with it. I think I may be trying again. It must be perfect :)

In our anticipation of warmer weather we went to southern Utah for the weekend and spring definitely comes earlier for them than it does for us. No fair! :)

Summer fun,

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

When we decided to redo our blog we new that we needed to have a topic that we posted on every week. As I was driving to work yesterday it struck me how beautiful the small and simple things in this world are and so our new feature is going to be World of Wonder Wednesdays, or WWW for short. I know that this post is technically on a thursday but since I didn’t get the new blog up and running until just before I went to work yesterday my first WWW post is a day late. Sorry!.

This picture was taken about two years ago on a Summer afternoon. The firefighters had come to make inspections on the fire hydrants and after checking them they hooked the engine up to it and sprayed all the neighborhood kids with water. Everyone had so much fun! Afterwards we got the opportunity to show the kids the engine. Don’t you love how excited children get about even the smallest things (or in this case a fairly big fire engine)? One of the things we love so much about photography is that it helps us to notice all the things in this world that make it so wonderful to be alive. I sometimes wish I could be young again and see the world how children see it where everything is new and exciting.
